Hi folks.
I'm new to this group. I just started a new home exercise regimen. I'm
currently doing the new Tae Bo cardio video but found the routines to be
quite complicated. So, I'm in the market for new videos. However, the choice
out there is overwhelming. I'm looking for a video that does not require me
to purchase any additional equipment. I had checked out the Firm (but I
needed to buy their "Fit Box") and the NYC Ballet workout (seemed to be more
about stretching than cardio/weight loss).
I realize that everyone has a different opinion and preference re: videos.
I'm just looking for some input.
Thanks.
Dominic

I am beginning a home exercise regimen like you and wanted to find
videos which were cardio but did not require extra equipment. Also
like you, I need videos that do not have complicated choreography. This
is what I like so far:

Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds - 1 Mile Easy Walk and 2 Mile Brisk
Walk. Leslie uses a "Stetchie" band during a few of the exercises but
you can easily leave this out or substitute the "Stetchie" with
something else. I purchased this because I found that it had great
reviews and I am happy with my purchase!

Crunch Cardio Salsa - This is a fun way to increase your heart rate,
exercise and learn some new dance moves. It's easy enough for a
beginner and requires no extra equipment. This also got great reviews
from several websites.

Fat Burning for Dummies featuring Gay Gasper - This is one that I have
not purchased yet because I have not been able to locate it in the
local stores but when I do find it I will buy it because I have read
great things about it. It is a video for beginners with no extra
equipment needed.

For more reviews and recommendations you might want to check out
Amazon, Collage Video or Epinions.

Regards,
Jen

Ooops.. Just realized I had mistyped and typed "Stetchie" instead of
"Stretchie".

Sorry about that.

Go look at the Collage Video website (http://www.collagevideo.com).
They carry just about every exercise video known to man and they
provide very detailed info about each so you can tell almost exactly
what to expect (even short clips of many). There really is something
for everyone.

(Disclaimer: I have absolutely no affiliation with the website other
than as a satisfied customer.)

I'd have to recommend Gilad's videos for what you want, just because he
never uses equipment. But what he's most famous for, is selecting his
lady exercisers by how big their hooters are, and then making them dress
up in skimpy tights. If you don't find that objectionable (and it's
definitely not PC, but I don't object), Gilad is definitely the exercise
master for you.

I decline to post his web site on this group without him paying me, but
any web search on "Gilad" and "quick fit system" will quickly yield a
set of seven videos, which he hawks incessantlly on Fit TV. Yeah, I
know you probably don't want *seven* videos, but it might give a bit of
variation to your workout. Alternatively, maybe you can see his stuff
on the VCR of a friend who has non-basic cable TV.

Maybe others on this list can give suggestion on cheaper packages.

Go here
www.collagevideo.com

It's a great site that sells tons of videos, many you can't get in stores.
I personally love the Firm.
If you are a more advanced exerciser, Cathe Freidrich might be up your ally.
She also has made a few beginner workouts too. She is my favorite video
instructor.
Christi Taylor is also wonderful.
Oh and if you look for older Firm workouts, you don't need their box. But I
do love them.
You can also go to Beachbody.com. Power 90 and P90X might be something you
are interested in.
