Post subject: upper body ergometer

I would appreciate help in setting up and using an upper body ergometer.
What is the proper level of the cranking shaft with the rest of the body?
I have seen some at shoulder height and some pictures at what looks like
forty five degrees. On mine, if I set it shoulder height, I cannot read the
computer display.
