Have you tried Power Hooks? You can hang the DB's from the bar, making it
much easier to press heavy DB's. >> Stay informed about: unilateral db bench press |

I don't think they're available any cheaper than from country power
http://www.powerhooks.com/ I bought mine from NY Barbell, but I didn't save
any money at the time. >> Stay informed about: unilateral db bench press |

Someone needs to say that the one-armed bench press is a great exercise.
If you want to improve your regular bench, then you need to practice
that, but what you're doing is still an excellent movement to practice
for general health, fitness, strength, core, and all that sort of thing.
And if you're serious about benching and you don't have a spotter, get a
rack, bench in the rack, and you don't need a spotter.

Damn. Now I need to say that it actually sucks.

Please describe how you perform this exercise.
How do you use your free hand for support?
How are your feet positioned? What is the alignment of your working
arm to your body? How do you protect your elbows during descent (if
your are performing floor presses)? Do you find that this exercise
gives you a good pec stretch? Do you use a heavy or a light DB when
doing one-armed chest presses? Are you lying on the floor or on a
bench? I assume you're on a bench. If so, why are you doing one-armed
DB chest presses rather than one-armed DB floor presses? >> Stay informed about: unilateral db bench press |

I think Steve means "If you want to improve your regular bench, then
you need to practice your regular bench,, not "If you want to improve
your regular bench, then you need to practice the one-armed bench
press". Which is not, in fact, bollocks.
