The reason it's been a long-held goal (instead of a long-ago-achieved
goal) is because I truly hate doing negatives.
Every now and then something will light a fire under me and I'll take
another run at it for a few weeks, but even when I'm not actively
working on it, I'm low-level working on it in terms of body
reocmposition stuff.

I started weight training at 12 years old in my parents basement. I
dropped the weights once or twice and more than once I had the weight
stall while benching. I never used collars much (for safety reasons)
so I would just tip the weights from side to side and let them drop on
the floor. Occasionally I would have collars on and fail but then I
would just roll the bar down my chest to my hips and sit up. >> Stay informed about: Weight training equipment upstairs? |

Hey, i am just trying to help!
I mean, kids these days. You will never know, dont you?
I mean, when we were young we didnt even HAVE steroids. Or computers.
Which can be used to access the InterNet. To order some steroids.
And i wont even mention those nasty violent online games, which have been
proven to increase aggression in youngsters.
And how about porn? WE didnt have porn, did we?
Imagine yourself being 15 again, and you had a computer. WITH access to the
InterNet.
What would you do ?!?!?!
I sure as hell know what i would do!

He says I heard him wrong, he's 105 and it's been longer than a month since he
hit 90. Time does go fast.
I'm pretty sure he's not. Don't steroids cost money? He doesn't have any.
Christ, now I have something new to worry about. But thanks for making me think.

Ha! Well, if he does that it will punch through the wall on one side or the
door on the other. Got to clear some room in the garage. He's going to his
dad's for Christmas, so maybe I will surprise him when he gets back.

What are collars? (Yeh, I could look it up but I don't want to.)

Ah, okay.
25 pounds in one month is a lot. Even for a teenager.

Collars are the things you slide onto the ends of the bar after you put
the weights on, to make sure the weights don't slip off. Here's a link
to several. The spring clip kind are the most common and work pretty
well for most purposes.
