i have switched to sugar-free chocolates, mainly to substitute for
sugary stuff. Sees Candies used to be my splurge of choice (one piece
a day or two) until i could no longer deal with the acne and tooth
decay..I really did not believe sugar in the diet caused acne
breakouts. Some folks claimed that it was genetics, and that i didn't
have good skin.

after one month of going cold turkey with See's, i didn't have any
zits, or breakouts. I then, switched over to the "Sweet Things" store
at the Mall, and began trying their sugar free confections. It's been
over 4 months, no zits. Maybe a tiny one during that time of the
month. Otherwise, no more cystic, or ingrown hair type outbreaks, that
caused so much embarrassment, and lots of concealer to cover the acne
scars later.

I began a stricter aerobics regime. and found i'm losing the weight
very slowly..slower than usual. I'm an ex-pro bodybuilder, so i know
how, and when. then i became curious about my two-day "splurges"..much
to my dismay, one of the English Toffee sugar-free squares are a
whopping 17 grams of fat. the Caramel Patties, Turtles, almond
clusters, yep, you guessed it.. enough to make me think twice about
eating them whole.

So, be careful..just because it's sugar free doesn't mean it's
low-calorie...

YEAH, THANKS FOR REPLYING TO HER MESSAGE, GIRLFREN! ;o)

I don't know about that, but I /would/ guess that loss of humor
accompanies one of those pesky (but not morally good or bad, of course)
nuclear explosions. Ymmv.

Same thing happens to older men.

Seriously, if you can hold out long enough on resisting sweets, you will
lose your taste for them. More than one low carber has noted this
interesting phenomenon...

I used to be able to sit and nosh an entire pound or more of chocolate
at a time over a few hours. Now if I have a passing craving for it,
literally one or two bites of dark, bittersweet chocolate takes care of
it.

I can have a small bag of dark chocolate miniature dove bars in the
freezer, and it can stay there for up to 2 years, and I'm not
exaggerating.

Let me guess: loss of sense of humor accompanies overgrowth of clitoris?

Helpful hints for sockpuppets: the whole thing works much better if you
remember to change identities before replying to yourself.
