Its pretty effective. Just make sure you don't yourself stretching. Always have proper form. No, they won't go away without surgery, but they lighten in color. And you should expect to get stretch marks in other places, too, if you grow too rapidly for your skin. People's skin elasticity varies widely. If you're someone who gets one, you're likely to be someone who gets a ton. So don't get fat if you don't want stretch marks.
