Hy guys!
What are the best headphones for sport activity, espeically running and
cycling?
They need to be sweat & water resistant (summer can be very hot) and
they must stay in the ear easily.
And, another thing, i would like to spend less than 20 pounds (40$)...
I have looked at the many sennheiser models (omx 70, mx70...) beacuse
they are easy to find here in italy... any suggestion?

I have a good experience with just some cheap(<10 US dollars) for a pair
from a large department store such as Target.
A cheap pair lasts a good year or two before needing to be replaced.
I consider the main consideration to be that a sporting activity
includes the risk of, say, having it fall off when I am riding my bike
or accidently getting crushed by a weight plate, etc.
Given these risks I go with something cheap and functional vs "nice".
I have an inexpensive creativelabs mp3 player(

) with some "sport" headphones that I bought at Target which are secure
on my ears by looping in back of the ear lobe so they cannot fall loose
during vigorous activity. |

I just bought a pair of Koss like those you describe above at Radio
Shack for $3.97, though it was the big day-after-TG sale. I am
pleasantly pleased at the fit, they stay on MUCH better than ear buds
and seem a lot more comfortable. They sound excellent for cheapies, too,
but I rather expected Koss to sound pretty good. The longest I've
worn them so far is 2 hours, and the backs of my ears were just
starting to get a little sore. I like to download lectures and such
and listen while running. NPR's Science Friday is one of my favorites.

I can't get earbuds to stay in my ears no matter what. They are either
too big or too small. I had an fm radio headset thingy that went over
the head and had a back strap on it. Stayed on well while jogging but
was way too hot...too much stuff on my head. I bought some
over-the-head noise,cancelling folding phones and they are great, but
not for workouts....too hot around the ears. So I went to the dollar
store and got some RCA el-cheapo headphones that are like sponge

what do you try to eat before you work out? - do you try and eat anything specific before a workout, and at a specific amount of time before? I've been reading that a protein shake immediately after a workout mixed with some carbs is a good idea. |
