I will peruse those, thanks!
I'd rather not move tho' as the cost of living in this area is low so

This is irrelevant. The people on welfare, or who you (not you Om, the
jeaniuus that posted that) claim drop out of HS to go on welfare,
don't have the training or qualifications for these jobs. Also many
jobs in the HHS require very heavy lifting (of fat sickies) and many
are not strong enough to do that.

Just standard clinical work..... No research as I work in a hospital
lab. But, I am also a section supervisor so responsible for CAP
compliance, quality control, section inventory, training and machine
maintenance.
Average wages in our area, even in Austin (which are higher than San
Antonio) is about $20.00 per hour, but I get an 18% shift diff. for
working night shift.
I'm not really sure I'd want to be a lab director despite the high pay!
There is more to life than money. The older I get, the more I realize
that!

Uh, are you calling _me_ a high school dropout?
I finished high school, 2 years at the CC then later moved on to college
for a 4 year BS-MT degree and now have 18 years in the field!
I'm more than qualified, I just don't want it.
Cheers!
