Two weeks ago, I went to the orthopedic surgeon because of shoulder
pain, he said it was tendonistis and he prescribed anti-inflammatory
for two weeks and start backup wieght training going real lite, which I
did. Now it hurts even more than before and I'm working out very lite.
Can anti immflammatory drugs aggravate. Do I have tendonosis instead of
tendonitis?

Stop jerking off for 5 minutes and it'll heal.

I'd stop any movement that hurts it and let it heal. You won't lose
that much. And go back to the doctor if it doesn't heal after a couple
of weeks.

Best regards,

Maybe. These type of problems are often chronic in nature, and will
never completely "heal". Minimizing the most problematic movements and
a two week course of antiinflammatories is a good start, but, if the
pain simply reoccurs, other strategies are needed. A referral to a
physical therapist can help. Cortisone injection can help. Additional
diagnostic tests, such as MRI, can make sure the essentially
preliminary diagnosis of tentonitis is correct. Going back to the
orthopod is a good idea, or maybe going to see one that specializes in
sports medicine.

Yup.

I did 10 days of the antiinflammatories and then I went back to the gym
going real lite, like I said. So I'm baffled on why I'm getting a more
severe pain after 10 days of rest and antiinflammatories?? I made an
appt to see the orthopod again and an appt with the chiropractor. This
time the pain is different, its not an isolated pain in the corner of
my pectoral muscle, its throughout the rightside of my body going down
to the arm, so I'm thinking it may be related to a pinched nerve? I
will ask for a MRI. Comments are welcome.

Had similar thing.

1) stop anything which hurts

2) go to a china trained doctor and get cortisone and Novocain cocktail
injections to usual acupuncture points. For me it worked very well.

3) after 5-10 treatments wait and let it heal for a couple of weeks

If you are not patient, re-injury is on the horizon and say good bye to your
sport.

By the way, it is enough to stop loading the injured part of the body. But
the self healing period is way much longer.

Radiating pain usually radiates along a nerve, so, could be.

Orthopedic problems can be the most baffling, difficult to treat, problems.
Finding a good orthopod, a good physical therapist, and/or a good
chiropractor, is like finding a good auto mechanic: hold on to them for dear
life!

Smile

But not that imported Canadian pharmaceutical fish oil, 'cause it's
CRAP, very dangerous, could make you sick, buy good
unitedstatesofamerica FDA drugs, may be "a little" more expensive, but
you get what you pay for, DRUG COMPANIES RULE!!
