Hi,
I had a stretched rotator cuff about 5 years ago and had surgery and
rehab and got back to the gym about a year later. Since then I've been
working out hard and doing rotator cuff exercises and I've had no
problems and no pain. 3 weeks ago I started going to a Jiu-Jitsu class
3 times a week which is basically a grappling/submission/wrestling
style of fighting. Now every day I can only do one or maybe two
activities before my shoulder hurts too much to do anything at all. I
can go to Jiu Jitsu and then workout or I can go rock-climbing and
workout but afterwards I'm in a lot of pain. Today I went to the gym
and it started hurting right after I finished my pullups. Then I did 3
sets of pulldowns and 3 sets of rows (it doesn't hurt when I actually
lift the weight, just afterwards). It stopped hurting about an hour
later. Is this a sign that it's been damaged again, or should I just
take aleve and ice it down?
-Thanks
