Post subject: opinions about Tony Little's Gazelle Freestyle Trainer ?
Archived from groups: misc>fitness>aerobic (more info?)

I've seen this aerobic exercise machine (link below) in various stores
such as my local sports equipment store, and I'm wondering if it is
effective, as well as whether there is any health risk in using it
such as back strain. Has anybody used one of these who can comment or
are there any physicians or physical therapists reading this?

Thanks.

I have used something similar, but it was another machine. It is very similar
to cross country skiing, but much, much easier. I think that it would be good
for aerobic workouts. However, I think that any activity can be overdone and
cause overuse or repetitive injury...on the other hand, that is probably
blunted by the fact that it is a repetitive machine thus lending itself to
boredom and underuse.

Side note: My best session ever with a machine was using while watching Die
Hard for the first time.
