| competition is sunday 13th and I've got 3 pounds to lose, not bad. can
still bench 1.3 time body weight and have lost Body fat. I Havn't
restricted any fluids so I think Im going to be okay. Thanks to
everyone for their input.

You're good to go - three pounds of water is pretty easy to drop just by
not drinking, as you've observed.

From personal experience I have found that the problem is not in strength
but in endurance. When losing weight often what is most harmed is the body's
capacity to store energy, like starting a race with half the gas tank empty. >> Stay informed about: Nearly made the weight |

True. And something to consider pre-match.
Carbohydrates, which will help in the endurance part of competition and
are a pre-race favorite for runners everywhere, should be avoided for
events where making weight is important.
Carbs simply require more water to store - so you would retain more
water for the weigh-in.
