Vegetables and fruit are mostly carbs so you are mistaken about having
cut carbs out of your diet.

Good to see your posting. You have been so silent lately that I was
afraid you might have stopped participating.

Duh!
I don't follow diet fads, so I should not comment. But in the OP's
defense, I suspect that he meant that he cut out "junk carbs". FYI,
when I googled for "what is low carb diet", I found the following quote
at http://lowcarbdiets.about.com . It might justify the OP's phrasing.
<Begin Quote>
When the doctor told my husband to cut back on carbs, my husband was
somewhat at a loss. "Just tell me what to eat!", he wanted to know.
[....]
The short answer to the question is "lots of vegetables, some fruit,
and enough protein".

First, not all fruits and vegetables are high antioxidants. There is a
10-to-1 spread among the top dozen fruits and the top dozen vegetables,
not to mention many more that have far less.
Second, too much of a good thing can be bad -- or simply useless. The
word "cutting" does not connote any notion of just how much or how
little we are left with.
Finally, I do not think anyone (so far) has suggested cutting fruits
and vegetables. Denise simply questioned how the OP could think he was
"cutting" carbs when he said that he eats "only veges and fruit" (and
milk and meat). Of course, one answer might be: he "cut out" the many
other sources of high carbs (pastas, breads, candy, pastries, etc). >> Stay informed about: low carb diet |

Thanks for missing me. You've been doing such a good job there's
usually nothing for me to add! So I simply lurk. I just happened
to be first on the scene this time, and had a couple of minutes free.

Heh.
Funny how fuzzy the idea of a "low-carb diet" has become. Of course
some folks' idea of "vegetables and fruit" would be veggie pizza and
strawberry ice cream.

I've always wondered about these low-carb diets. I learned in school that a balanced diet was best. That includes eating some breads, pasta, fruit, veggies, meats, fiber, etc. Most foods are good in moderation. Too much meat vs. too little fruit is bad and so is not enough meat. We need a little bit of everything. Go ahead and disagree. >> Stay informed about: low carb diet |

I agree with kicknit about everything in moderation. Cutting out all meats etc could prove detrimental as you are already feeling the affects.
Here is an article about low carb diets, telling you the risks etc of taking it up.
