I do not believe in this approach. I tried it once and all I got was
some muscle and a lot of fat. Easier to recover from hard workouts,
fact, but it still does not work for me.

I *think* that some cycling works fine. Not sure though...

How about "revolutionary" approach of simply staying where you want to
be? If you feel like dropping some fat, you tighten calorie intake. If
you feel like training hard you eat a bit more? Without all this "eat
like a pig" and "eat like a hibernating reptile" approach?
