Heh!

Word!!

The fact of the matter is, if you will forgive my interjection, is
that while it may be very clear to you, and notwithstanding any
viewpoints to the contrary, it makes sense and is only reasonable,
that one should arrive at the clear conclusion, all else being equal
and taking into consideration any views to the contrary, that at the
end of the day, all things duly considered, and at the risk of
sounding controversial, it must be obvious to all concerned, that when
all has been taken into account, and without fear nor favour, that
talking in clichés is an exercise in futility, committed by fools that
haven't got an original thought in their empty heads!!

I'll have to into hack squats. I basically am doing a power clean for
reguar squats right now. But I hit a wall at 135lbs last time. It was
easy enough to pull 20 reps with a little effort. Its much easier to
rely heavily on Deadlifts.

Buy a power rack (aka power cage).

I'm going to die rather sooner than I'd like. I tried to protect my
neighbours from crime, and became the victim of it. Complications in
hospital following this resulted in a serious illness. I now need a bone
marrow transplant. Many people around the world are waiting for a marrow
transplant, too. Please volunteer to be a marrow donor:

Take a look here:

http://www.dragondoor.com/wpkb12.html?kbid=1022#hack

for a true hack squat, which is not the same thing as a behind the back
deadlift. These are tough lifts - I've yet to manage 70 lbs and getting
53 lbs. was tough. I'm guessing one could do it with a hex dumbbell
stood on end - I use a kettlebell.

Well, there was that pair, back in the day, doing monstrously heavy
shrugs in the shrug/curl cage. They were average-small guys, except they
had traps nearly as big as their legs.

Just in case, I asked them if they were training for any particular
sport. No, they just liked the look.
