Perhaps Cohen should call the waaaaaaaaaaaaaambulance.
Can't you form your own opinion about Usenet newgroups? According to
Google Groups, Tim Cassidy aka "Novice" <6tc1.DeleteThis@qlink.queensu.ca> has
been posting on Usenet since 1998.

Hmmm ... isn't that what he suggested in the first place, before you
started making excuses as to why it wouldn't work for you? Of course,
checking the web page won't help much unless you [a] buy the book, or
[b] have done sufficient background research to develop a
protein-sparing modified fast on your own, which is what I did. Mine
isn't committed to writing, so if you want details, you'll need to buy
Lyle's.

If you're at 25% bodyfat and training regularly, you're probably
consuming several times that 1000 kcal per day.

Then you can look just like Curt. I'm sure your pals with have many
interesting comments when they see that.

Let's review: you make excuses as to why you can't substantially
reduce your calories and carbohydrates, then you withhold information
about your excuses. Since we aren't telling you what you want to
hear, you argue about it, but when your arguments are challenged, you
drag out the claim that there is "secret information" that makes all
the difference in the world, but you can't divulge it. What type of
treatment do you expect?
BTW, Tim Cassidy's posts on Usenet tend to indicate that he is a
computer programmer. I'm wondering how it his that his work will
irreparably damaged by limiting calories and carbohydrates.

Steve Friedes noted that he has posted videos. So has DZ. So have I.
The old, time-worn "come to Katmandu and watch me" routine doesn't
float around here. In terms of the signal:noise ratio that your pal
was talking about, it's just more noise. >> Stay informed about: I've got a month and a half to burn some fat |

I may be in Vancouver the week of April 24. Is this the guy who was
going to do 30 full dead hang pull-ups?

Damn, Nishio! I thought you said you weren't going to be played. The
guy has a master's degree in computer science, so I doubt he's working
as a fisherman. >> Stay informed about: I've got a month and a half to burn some fat |

into a faggot. >> Stay informed about: I've got a month and a half to burn some fat |

Actually, that does make sense. If you are hauling heavy lines etc. it
stands to reason that you could be very good at pulling exercises like
pullups. Also if you have to sustain heavy physical exertion for long
periods of time you'd be very apt to try to keep fueling yourself as you
go. I know a few fishermen and they are strong and tough as hell from
their jobs but they are usually all shoulders and arms with a bit of a
gut. And they like to toss a pint.
I can see why you don't feel like you want to limit your intake but you
would not likely have to change much. It may be that you just have to
eat less while you are not working and perhaps be a little more
concientous when you are.
I know what it is like to work at sea or in the field. I have spent
about six months out of the last year working on ships on the Gulf of
Mexico, Mediteranean (France and Italy), the Indian Arm and Esquimalt
(you know where they are). That was not an unusual year. We get
exhausted by the long shifts and often feed ourselves more than we need
because we are looking for something, anything to give us a bit more
energy to keep our asses moving.
I go out of town a lot, usually without a gym or my own kitchen so I
have modify everything to try to maintain the body composition. I'd
rather come home 5 lbs lighter than the same weight and fatter. Most of
the denizens here have a good idea what proper nutrition is so it is
mostly a matter of matching caloric intake and expenditure. Isn't this
really what you are need to achieve?

Ah yes, in the old Plaza hotel. I lived in N. Van for many years and I
remember when that place opened their first gym, then it was called a
spa, back in the mid 70's. Those were the days. You never saw so many
spandexed, headbanded, legwarmer wearing foxes in your life. I trained
at the Golds near your gym when I lived over there.

Hi Novice,
It's true that there's a lot of silly noise on these groups but there's
a wonderful solution to that problem; ignore everything that isn't
relevant. There are some people who sincerely want to exchange
information, and you'll figure out who those people are soon enough.
It's kind of like trying to have a conversation at a noisy restaurant!
Anyway, best of luck to you. >> Stay informed about: I've got a month and a half to burn some fat |
