Understand that by "too much," I meant "too often." And even then:
Within reason. Obviously you could cardio yourself to exhaustion.
And it is certainly possible to cardio too hard--just as with any
other exercise.

Be advised there are two schools of thought regarding drinking large
amounts of water with meals: Some believe it aids digestion, others
(most I've seen, incl. my wife) feels that too much water directly
before, during, or directly following a meal adversely affects
digestion. Search on it and reach your own conclusions.
Btw: Green tea is reputed by some to be very good for you and an aid
to weight loss.

Until you lose some of your weight, I would be *really* careful even walking
much for your cardio. 400 lbs is a lot of weight on your knees. Water
aerobics is an option. Cycling or the elliptical if you can handle those.
Just be careful with anything impact...even light impact.
If you are going to walk, try your local school's rubberized running track.
And of course a good pair of running / walking shoes.

I stopped eating processed food a long time ago. I won't even touch
whole wheat pasta because it is processed and I eat bread very rarely
now and *only* whole grain bread from the health food store if I do
indulge.
The only processed foods I sometimes indulge in is a small portion of
very dark chocolate around once a month, an occasional
diet pepsi and protein powders. >> Stay informed about: Help me lose the fat |
