Not if you weigh 185lbs it's not.

1g per lb is the norm and just a tad over what studies suggest is
required (with some debate).

I fit that example very well, and I'd agree that 185g protein/day is
pretty high. I'd have to eat about 2 lbs of meat a day to get that,
and it's too much I think, unless maybe I were doing some seriously
high-volume weight training.
But I eat a lot of fat and carbs, too. On a PSMF, it'd probably be
about right.

That's a Minimum requirement.

Sure. But 0.8g per lb is not a perfect recommendation. And consuming
the perfectly exact amount of protein each day would be difficult.

There are studies showing that eating way over 1g/lb is counterproductive--
DZ cited them earlier. But you'd really have to work at it.
Against this set that some amount of protein will be broken down for energy,
more if you're restricting calories.
