fitness equipment and multimedia

I am taking a computer multimedia class at university and I have to
create a presentation about one subject that utilizes a range of
multimedia, where it came from, where it is now and it's future.

You probably have guessed already that I selected to do mine on fitness
equipment, and I am calling for some expertise, specially about where
technology is going to take us.

So far, I think I will start with the Jane Fond video's, then to the
beginning of the lifecycles and treadmills with displays. Followed by
the evolution of those displays to the included LCD TV's.

For the future, I have found stuff on the the Nextfit video game cycle
(http://www.nexfit.com/index.htm), and will look into those indoor golf
video games where you shoot the ball into a net and sensors pickup the
speed and distance.

Can you think of any material that could help me such as references or
even better, news on products in development?
