Why not bundle up in suitable clothes & footwear & go outside anyway. It can
be very refreshing. Don't dismiss the idea without at least giving it a try.
I'll run/walk in just about anything except if it's icy underfoot.

I'm with you. One of the personal rules that keeps me from slacking off on
my exercising is that I never let the weather prevent a good, long walk. I
just buy good raingear and cold weather gear. I tried to keep walking when
the streets were sheets of ice, but a couple of slips had me thinking about
the possibility of broken bones. I went home and climbed on the treadmill.
