Hello, I used to walk on a flat ground with no change in altitude,
covering 5 km. After having moved to another place, I cannot find any
nice walk with no change in altitude. How do I determine the equally
demanding distance to cover, given known non-zero change in altitude?

Thank you, Dan

There are to many variables to give any realistic answer.
Just walk and see how it feels, then adjust accordingly.

When I first started I walked for an unmeasured distance (tomorrow I'll walk
to the next telephone pole, etc.) until I got up around two miles or so,
then went for time until that went down, then increased the distance. I
finally stopped at five miles (8 Km) and held there.

I take 5km, and I think it is optimal distance.
