Thanks, BJ. Yeah, I'm going to try and take care of myself this time
instead of going overboard. Before I got away from walking 5 years ago, I
was pushing 5.5-6 mph and my heart rate showed it, topping out at 190 at
times (I was still overweight by 35 lbs. at the time which didn't help).
Today, I walked 7 miles in an hour and 50 minutes, keeping my hr at an
average of 155. Felt much better than going crazy as in the past. Of
course, I now have 75 lbs. to loose so I don't want to kill myself trying.
I should have known better regarding blisters. My cure in the past has
always been to wear double socks, which always prevented blisters. Should
have worn doubles today.
Thanks again for your response,
RJ
I generally like walking outdoors, but on rainy days I think I'll be using a
stepper I have here. It works the heart rate up there pretty well too.
