Hey,

I'm somewhat of a hard gainer and I'm looking to bulk up. Anyone know
any websites I can go to that show me the proper things I should be
eating and things like that? I'm a bit of a picky eater, so tuna and
stuff like that isn't really an option. Money is a bit of an issue
too, as I'm currently in university up to my ass in student loans.

Also, if anyone has any general advice on foods to be eating, how often
to eat, etc. in order to gain the extra weight I want, I'd be happy to
read that too.

I'd appreciate any help or advice. Thanks.

Imagine the coincidence, a hardgainer who also happens not to like many
foods. Too bad about your genetics.

So it has to be cheap but also delectable protein that isn't canned
tuna? How do you feel about eggs?

You won't like the answer.

I doubt it. But welcome anyway.

Go to Wal-Mart. Get yourself a big ol' box of powdered milk, a box of
60-count eggs, and a bag of frozen fruit of your choice. Throw in a
blender with water for delicious homemade protein shakes. Cheap and
effective.

You've certainly made progress Smile. I took a look at the video of
yourself you posted earlier and was impressed. What the heck do you
call that exercise where you do a pull up and then just keep on going?

Are you saying that you only eat one time a day? If so, that's
amazing.

I have read quite a bit of the research that you have posted. Very
interesting stuff. Still its awfully hard to gain weight without
having a surplus of calories. Heck, even in your case it's not like
you are really that big. You are lean, and freakishly strong, but not
that big. Have you ever actually tried eating big?

> So, in a nutshell, you're wrong, Delenn Smile

I wouldn't go that far...

Training is certainly important, but I still contend that it is hard
to gain weight without increasing your calorie intake.

No one that has seen you do one of those monsters is likely to mock
you about it. They look seriously cool.

An excellent point too ... Smile.

I tend to agree with you. I don't spend my entire day eating either.
I did, however, find that my performance went up considerably when I
cleaned up my diet. For me "cleaning up my diet" included eating more
regularly (I used to skip breakfast). Now I eat at least three times
a day, and making sure I got at least 160 g of protein a day.

Tuna fish has become one of the staples of my diet Smile.

Even if you are an "easy gainer" (or whatever they call them) you can
only add so much muscle per day. However, if you have been working
out, you are already lean, and you aren't gaining weight, then you
need to look to your diet. That's probably going to include an
increase in your protein intake. Tuna fish is an excellent way to get
the extra protein without breaking the bank.
