Post subject: Treadmill and computer?
Archived from groups: misc>fitness>walking (more info?)

I was thinking of buying a cheap foldaway treadmill, the type operated
with your feet (not the expensive motorised kind) and was wondering
what activities it's possible to do while on one of these? I would
really like to be able to use my computer while I walk on it, is it
possible to do a bit of mousing if not typing? or are those treadmills
too difficult to do much except watch TV? Any feedback of feasibility
would be appreciated Smile

thank you

I had a mechanical tredmill, then switched to a motorized one
because it was too noisy. I got a Weslo Cadence at WalMart in
'97 for about $190 and am still with it. The narrowness of belt
is an issue, though. A better Weslo model is about $450, still
not so expensive. If you're going to use one a lot, you may have
to invest in more $$$ and get one with automatic lubrication.

While exercising, I find it best to sort of meditate and look out
the window.
