Just curious, does anyone on this usenet care or follow bodybuilding at
all?? Curt seems to be the only one who is a serious fan. I remember back in
the 1970s after Pumping Iron that bodybuilding was a big deal for a lot of
people. It was a dream that anyone could attain.
I think steroids has destroyed interest in bodybuilding for the average
person. It is back to being a freak sport like it used to be in the old
days. >> Stay informed about: Bodybuilding? Do you care?? |

Define "this usenet."

Hey, appreciate the nod and all, but I feel special even *without*
attention from you, Nony. ;o)

It will always be a "freak sport," imo. Although it might be
interesting to see pro bodybuilding match the popularity of the NFL or
the NBA, it's not necessary for my enjoyment. I'll love the sport
regardless of anyone else's interest or disinterest.
Gyms on every corner versus the corner bar wouldn't be a bad thing,
though. When I recently purchased "Animal Cuts" I told the clerk, "A
fool and his money... but it's better this than beer and cigarettes."
Plus, you seem interested enough. To wit:
Mr. and Ms. Olympia predictions for 2008:
Dennis Wolf reaches the number 3 spot, Jay Cutler loses in a close
match to Victor Martinez!
Iris Kyle maintains her title followed by Yaxeni Oriquen as the fans
go wild.

I do... We still do... it's just that some here are too old enough to
care about the new things on the sport.. Their idols like frank zane
and sergio oliva had ben quiet for a long time living their normal
lives whihc made these fans forget the lovable bodybuilding..
hehehehe
nah... Don't worry bro... there's plenty of us here.... bodybuilding
will always be in our hearts... Awwww!
>Curt seems to be the only one who is a serious fan.
Yeah, I saw him with a pro in the bodybuilding.com forum pics...
hehehe

It still is... we can attain it without those damn drugs...
Now, Robert STFU... I don't intend to call you on that...
Drugs or not... You're a great 4 placer competitor...

Yeah!
Most people now... when they see a guy with huge guns says it's
nothing but steroids... Poor them... But indeed steroid had been that
stupid trend that destroyed bodybuilding...

Bodybuilding needs competition and excitement. That only comes if different
people win. Look at World's Strongest Man contests. Same guy has won a few
times. Sometimes loses and then comes back the next year. Nobody has won it
more than 3 or 4 times total. That makes it more exciting and entertaining
to watch. >> Stay informed about: Bodybuilding? Do you care?? |

Bullshit. Bodybuilding needs fewer "fans" like you. ;o)

Point Moose. Funny, but incorrect, however.

I "went" courtesy of the webcast.

I made no such claim. All I remember saying is that I'm a fan. But
certainly bodybuilding has heterosexual fans. I count myself in that
demographic even if that may disappoint you.

Even if your ludicrous comment was true, what difference would that
make unless you were putting the moves on one of the aformentioned
fans?

Perhaps you're boring. I take it you've never attended a show.

Did you read that in a magazine?

Whatever. Your opinion means less and less.
Attend a show. Leave a few minutes before they announce the winners.
Hth.

As long as you aren't a homo like Curt or Shue, there is always hope for
you. Keep lifting weights and working out and doing cardio. Your self-esteem
will improve and success will follow. Just avoid Curt and Shue. >> Stay informed about: Bodybuilding? Do you care?? |

What's wrong with combining the two?
A better question:
Who invited you to the party, John?
I mean, you have me listed on your troll list and it seems obvious
that Moose was directing his post in my direction. Note "Curt seems to
be the only one who is a serious fan." Therefore I'd call your
behavior that of a, what was the word you used to describe it? Ah,
yes, of course, conduit.
Please place yourself on one of Forté Agent's 'timed killfiles' at
your earliest convenience. Thank you!

I think Weider has been in it for greed mostly. He has single-handedly (that
is, with brother Ben) done everything possible to kill every other
bodybuilding organization, and how much has that helped bodybuilding?? His
vendettas against those that compete in other shows are well known. How fair
is a Weider contest when Joe was never running it as a sport, but strictly
business?? >> Stay informed about: Bodybuilding? Do you care?? |
