For $600 A Bowflex makes a lot of sense, especially in your case. Heck,
even at $3000 a Bowflex would make sense if that's what you were likely
to actually use.
Generally speaking when someone asks on MFW about the Bowflex their
initial query goes like this:
I've made a new years resolution to get in shape, and I hear
that strength training is important. I was thinking about
buying a Bowflex because the girl in their commercial is really
hot. What do you think?
As you can see, that's a completely different scenario.
As far as machines go the Bowflex machines are well made, and if things
do go wrong Bowflex will sort it out for you.
Either way, keep us posted on how things go. I might be interested in a
Bowflex myself some day
