You still haven't answered my question, though. Again - define
"overall strength".

True, But I am just bustin balls here. Cmon. All in good fun. I wish my
should would allow me try a 225 bench press. Tore the darn thing at the
ballpark a few years back doing one of those fastest pitch radar test.
Stupid.

I agree totally with this. I am one of the long armed ones. And damn it
really is that much harder when I am pushing the bar an extra 12"
further than my buddies.

I had a massive migraine this morning. Turns out I hadn't had coffee or
soda in 24 hours. Man I am hooked.

Ah, well, then, in an equal example of "good fun" you'd best 'splain
what you meant by "overall strength" to Mr. Mulholland. ;o)

My shoulders aren't the best either. Right one especially.

Makes a difference, I'd say.

Currently off caffeine.

I stare longingly at the gas 'n go as I drive by on my commute home.

Again, the ephedra has burnt many a neurotransmitter receptors. I meant
relative strength as in having a positive power-to-weight ratio is more
important than absolute strenght.

Indeed.
Ditto competing BBers, who I understand sometimes cannot even complete their
routines.
Single digit BF% is probably dicey for many people.
Not to mention that bf % is a very difficult thing to measure, w/ poor
reproducibiilty.

Good job? That's it? 225 = two wheels. Awesome job! Why I remember
the good old days when lifts in multiples of wheels would merit a trip
to the nearest Krispy Kreme. What's a guy gotta do anymore?

I got the big Five-O coming up in May and I am thinking on trying to
break three wheels for my 50th. I've been doing pretty well in the
bench the last while and I think it may be time I moved up on the 1RM.
It may not be a clean PL lift but I'd really likely to be able to get it
off my chest, so to speak, once and for all. Bench is the one of the
big three I can really push at now. I have limited my squats and deads
to two wheels now and it is pretty unfulfilling but a back condition
forces me to be extra cautious with any spinal compression lifts.

Anyway, congrats AND get yerself a steak, Stephen M.

I'd settle for breaking 3 wheels in the C&J. Okay. 3 25 kg wheels would
be even better.

3 red wheels.

It seems obvious that my self-deprecating humor has you confused.

My goals have included reducing my blood pressure. Achieved. As well as
maintaining a gym schedule. Achieved. My 14-inch arm looks better than
many other arms attached to people my age or younger and so there's
that.

Not currently my goal. Actually, the opposite is closer to the mark.

Sound advice, however unnecessary. I know my goals. I'm lifting and
eating accordingly.

Seen it! We had a "personal trainer" at the gym that had his victims
trying to do dumbell military presses while balancing on the Barney Egg.
If anyone was working out nearby, we'd stand back and wait until the
suicidal behaviour was over and resume working out. No one wanted to be
anywhere close when this maroon and his naive acolytes took the spill.

There is always a frickin' professor at every gym that has to do this
differently enough that he is beyond comparison. That is supposed to
explain the tinker toy weights he works out with. That was one of the
stupidest things I have seen at the gym, and it was no surprise coming
from that idiot.

Stephen N.--->and I've seen my share...

Sorry, but you are doomed to remain weak. I'll get strong, no matter
my genes. You will remain weak forever. Accept it. It will make you
