Joe Weider & Ben Weider are at least 80 years old each. Eventually, they are
going to pass on to the great bodybuilding show in the sky.
Do you think bodybuilding contests and the sport will improve once the
Weiders are out of the sport?
They have a son who is involved, but he seems to be more in the
administrative ranks. The Weider empire was sold a few years ago, so Joe &
Ben are just figure-heads? >> Stay informed about: Will Weiders death be good for bodybuilding? |

I saw that photo. It put me off food for about two days. It is very strange
that I have always been nice to Curnt, and yet the guy cannot stop from
lashing out at people.
When someone is doing that regularly on usenet, it is probably due to a
frustrating life. Bob Schuh seems to post only when he wants to unload
F-bombs on people. Kind of messed up.
Nobody is perfect. We all have faults. This is one of the better newsgroups
though.
However, this forum has improved a million times since TBR disappeared. I
think there was another guy that was always spamming this ng and he seems to
be gone too. >> Stay informed about: Will Weiders death be good for bodybuilding? |

Don't worry, there will be plenty of idiots, a-holes, and spammers to
come. After a decade on this news group, you find there is cycle of
sorts for trolls. As you can see, they don't seem to make trolls like
they used to. Trolls used to take pride in their work. Now they just try
to get attention by shear volume of trolls (EG, TBR) vs quality of the
trolling. It's a sad state.....

Neither Weider ever knew what was going on. You people who think that they were
fixing contests etc. are just ignorant fools.

Rob, just for the sake of arguement, lets assume that certain contests, for
example 1980, were fixed, and Weider had nothing to with it. Then who would?
Who would actually have those kind of influence?

Perhaps Oscar State.

He seemed like a very unhappy man.
Still, obviously loved by the Weiders:
