good idea, reminds me to get a blender. But, aren't milkshakes made
with ice cream? I don't want diabetes. I'd probably get it were I to
have a big milkshake every day. Or include that as part of my daily
diet.

Thanks for mentioning the blender though. I did plan on getting it. I
will now, i'm glad you reminded me.

ok - blender aside-(and blender is DRINK. Drinking is easy). I'll rant
about how difficult the whole food thing is. 'cos it seems like you
can't imagine it.

freaking nightmare

cook rice - 40 minutes (wholegrain brown rice 'cos it's healthy)
gotta keep watching it , can't let it boil over, get rid of starch on
top of water, can't let the water go down too much either.

Buti of course Rice isn't very tasty on its own. And with all that
rice, you gotta have somethign to go with it. And there aren't many
options.
Tuna Mayo or Masses of Cheese.

Then eating it takes about 40 minutes, 'cos it's a huge bowel.

And you're only meant to have a few slices of cheese. But 'cos rice is
so damn tasteless, i need the whole packet of cheese. Then the fat in
the cheese , and in the amount it was used, sends my bowels on a
rollercoaster. Besides the health hazard of masses of saturated fat.

That's one option

You want more reasons? You think it's SO EASY!

I think i'll have a scrambled egg. Darn thing is tiny 'cos public
medical advice is not to have more than 2 eggs a day.
Didn't take long to cook but a pain to wash up. The pan, the thing to
turn it in the pan, the bowel the eggs were cracked in, and the plate
the egg was eaten in.
All for a freaking little meal.
I suppose one can make a cerial with it, boiling milk at the same time
saves time, but means another pot and bowel to wash up.

I guess paper/plastic utensils means only pots to wash up. That solves
alot of the time problem. Cooking time is an issue, + it's v. boring.
Eating can take 40mins too.

I don't understand the people that do a chicken in 8 minutes. It takes
an hour and a half in my oven. Add to that the time it takes to eat
the damn thing, and forget it!

That's the worst of it. Cooking Pasta is quicker than cooking the
whoelgrain brown rice. So I do that sometimes. Though I find it's not
as healthy. I have that with tuna mayo.
Potatoes stabbed, put in the microwave, isn't too bad. Put olive oil in
them, avocado oil. Thoguh they can take a long time too. With my
microwave, 6 minutes, turn them over, 6 minutes. Can only do 2 potatoes
at a time. Otherwise it often comes out funny. So i'd have to
remember to interrupt eating my first meal twice at the right minute,
to make more.

I will buy the blender though, you're right, that sounds easy. But I am
concerned , in that I don't want diabetes. So, maybe no milkshakes.
Which defeats half the purpose of the blender.

well, letting it out is quick enough, and afterwards it's quite
relaxing. Going to the toilet isn't such a battle. It's actualy quite
enjoable, like cheering for an 'english football' match, when the guy
is running up there, about to score, " COME ON, COME ON, GOOD, GOOD"
and finally he scores the goal. Then the good feeling afterwards. And I
don't even like football.

good idea. maybe reading music helps. It'd have to be the right rhythm
though, I can't remember the technical names

or perhaps a poem with good onomatopoeia

what the heck, this is the 21st century, watch a video of a football
match in the toilet!

Is that the large bowel you are referring to? I would say half the battle is
keeping your bowels clean.

That post was great. So great you know what you should do? Print it out
and over the top and across the bottom write in black magic marker:

"THIS IS THE POST OF A FREAKING PUSSY"

Then every time you start telling yourself how hard it is to cook, re-read
the post.

You eat by eating, dude, not by listening to every lame-ass so-called
nutritionist on the planet--the best of whom don't know anything but the
fad of the day anyway.

You like eggs? Eat five. Yes, at one sitting. You like rice? Go for the
white variety, you'll be eating enough food that the difference doesn't
matter. (And, gods, learn how to cook it. Water and rice go in the pot,
twice as much rice as water, bring to a boil, turn down to very low, cover
and let cook for 20 minutes and DON'T LOOK AT IT OR THINK ABOUT IT DURING
THAT TIME. Easy.) Like chicken? Buy breasts from the store, run them under
the broiler with good barbecue sauce, turn once, done. Like ice cream? A
pint a day is now REQUIRED and don't worry about diabetes because it won't
be that much with all the rest of the food you're eating.

Get done with the excuses. Or quit whinging.

Oh, and you can make good smoothies with yogurt. But the ice cream is
still required.

Can't we come up with another name for "smoothies"? Every time I read
that word, I visualize one being held by an emaciated human wearing
spandex and matching terrycloth headband/wristbands, still glistening
with perspiration from a vigorous workout on the leg abductor/adductor
machine.

"Shake", as in short for "milk shake" but since they don't always have
milk in them anymore ...
