We just bought a used treadmill...looks pretty new..but, it is
squeaking. If we keep our foot down too long it makes an awful
squawking noise...is that something we are doing? Does it take time to
"learn" to walk on a treadmill? I tightened the treadmill belt..but,
it still "squawks" some..not as bad...should I tighten further. Any
suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't own a treadmill, so this could be way off base, but I do know some
treadmills require lubrication under the belt. Check the owners manual if
you got it, or do an internet search for your make and model to see if this
may be required.

Happy walking!
