Hi, All:
This morning I posted about the steak and noted that I wasn't feeling
sore after my workouts no more...well, it's now the afternoon, and I'm
suddenly sore from yesterday's workout!!
I thought the soreness kicks in right away, not a day later or
something?? Is the lack of soreness a sign of "plateauing," or what?
I work out regularly and haven't been sore in some time now.
TIA! >> Stay informed about: Soreness Delay? |

DOMS
Delayed
Onset
Muscle
Soreness
Would you like to guess why it's called that?
The subject has been discussed very extensively in this newsgroup. A
Google Groups search of "doms" and "group:misc.fitness.weights" will
tell you more than you ever wanted to know. >> Stay informed about: Soreness Delay? |

There is no obvious correlation between soreness and progress. Some
people never get very sore (especially once used to a particular
routine) and yet make good gains. Chart your progress by something
more objective than soreness - putting weight on the bar over time,
body measurements going the right way (smaller or bigger, depending)
for example.

I'm 33...never thought of age as a factor! But hey, why not -- life
after 29 is a whole new world to me. All kinds of weird issues...I've
got hairy knees now, for one thing! >> Stay informed about: Soreness Delay? |
