My feet are overpronated & i am husky. I feel i need a shoe that
has stability. I read that running shoes are constructed better than
walking shoes! I also prefere shoes that have velcro straps as
opposed to laces. What is available according to my preference or
am i resigned to a laces type of shoe?

If you really prefer Velcro and can not find a shoe that is designed for
over pronation. I suggest going to a chiropractor or foot doctor that can
make inserts for your shoes. If you have health insurance some of them pay
for one pair each year.
