Interesting. Was justification offered? The BLM often rounds them up to
cull some of the herd (and sell selected mustangs) if they're
overpopulated. But not all. Keep me posted; I'm curious.

I'm considering Moab area (or northern NM). It captured my heart
last Sept. I'll be there twice next year on the bike again. Looking for
a small cabin for home base. Riding to Alaska in '08. (woohoo!)

I heard on the news that The Government was going to round up all the Cold
Creek mustangs. Needless to say, the Cold Creekians aren't happy, and I
doubt they'll let The Feds take away their beloved horses. I suspect they'd
"adopt" them all.

Last time, I asked them if any of them knew Hidalgo. They said, "Neigh!"

A young colt had to be euthanized a couple days ago after being rescued from
a big mud puddle. They said it had been down too long, and had too much
neuromuscular damage

Sure are a lot of nice plots of land up there for sale...
