I've been there, but never bought anything from them. They did have some good
looking stuff. I don't have any place that I've found to be clearly superior,
but I would suggest negotiating on price. Especially right now when there are
after Christmas sales going on. Another possibility is to look for floor models
and negotiate down on them as well.

John -
The other thing you might try is looking in the newspaper - especially over
the next few months - for used equipment. Just like the crowds at the gym
after new years decline in a few weeks, so does the drive to use equipment
taking up space in the garage. With three kajillion people in the San Diego
area, there ought to be several availalble.

Hey Bro, I'm here in PB.
I wish I could offer you some advice but I've had nothing but bad luck
overall(prices being the biggest culprit, second being "uneven weights,
such as a 42lb 45lb plate).
Best of luck to ya and let me know how your search goes.

I'm *considering* a third gym. Remember that little basement place you and
I and Lisa worked out in, once, about 30,000 years ago? That's the place
that's being remodeled. I'll have to go check it out (though I'm not sure
there's anything to see yet).
We should get together; perhaps you could spot a form error.
I overhead squatted on Monday and did push ups yesterday and today my neck
is killing me - like not turning my head without shooting pains kind of
killing. Not sure what did it (I only mention those two things as potential
items) but my upper traps were a little sore yesterday.
Haven't quite figured out my current workout schedule, however. It's hard
fitting in workouts, practice and rests when I'm playing Sundays, Wednesdays
and Fridays.

The original chrome n' tone.
with apologies to the OP.

Do either of you guys know if Seattle Fitness is still around? Last time I was
up there I heard they were thinking about closing.
