I have a chance to buy a 2nd generation Nautilus Rotary Torso machine.
I've never used one and could use some advise. Any comments
appreciated.

There is one at my gym and I had never used it untill about a month or two
ago, thinking it was a foo foo exercise. I really liked it and now it is one
of the only machines I use.

I make the rotary torso a part of my regular work-out. But it is
near the bottom of the list. IOW: If I'm in a time crunch, it's one
of the more likely ones to get left off.

it's on the top of tri-athelete's workouts that i've seen.
most folk don't have much interest in strengthening
their core, however, athelete's do. football players,
swimmers, runners. i don't use that machine, instead i use
an adjustable pulley and do twists. either way, it's good
for the core muscles. only takes a couple of minutes.

What else have you got? Certainly not the first thing I'd buy.

I've tried them and they are fun, but unless you had lots of money, I
wouldn't buy this, not my first choice.

Thanks for your reply Hugh and everyone else. So far I have olympic
and other free weights, squat rack, multi-angle bench, power blocks,
captains chair, airdyne. I'm wondering how a rotary torso would fit
in.

Thanks to all for your replies and also to any who might still reply.
This group has been a real eye opener in times past and I appreciate
all I've learned here.

Other there in the corner, under the poster of Melissa Coates in a leather
posing bikini.
