I can't seem to loose the last 5% over my abs to get them to show. I
have a high metabolism and have no trouble staying lean. I also hit the
weights 3 days a week and do intervals on the elliptical 1-2 times a
week for 15min. I started eating a low fat diet with one cheat meal per
week about 3 weeks ago and still no ripped abs showing. What else do I
need to do to get those sculpted abs? Could it simply be a water
retention issue, because boxers/wrestlers always look supper cut when
they drop water for a fight, but I heard its unhealthy?

My basic daily diet:
Breakfast: 4 scrambled eggs, 2 pieces whole wheat
Lunch #1: tuna or chicken sandwich on whole wheat, few gummy bears
Lunch #2: garden salad with chicken, few gummy bears
Dinner #1: protein shake with skim milk
Dinner #2: 4oz chicken or lean steak with lima beans

What are you doing to work them out? Cardio won't do squat to build
muscle (just the opposite) so you end up looking like a malnourished
ethiopian with a resting HR of 42bpm but the muscle mass of Twiggy.

Try weighted crunches for starters. I do 3 sets of 10 with 45# plate
behind my head and my abs are clearly at 15% BF.

Tim,
Boxers and wrestlers work their abs a lot (through training and
exercise). They also do a lot of conditioning. Since they have weight
classes it doesn't help them to have extra body fat. So you combine
working the abs with conditioning and diet to remove excess fat and you
could possibly get the sculpted abs that you want. Boxers and
wrestlers do way more conditioning than 15 minutes of elliptical 1 to 2
times a week! 15 minutes of elliptical might be a very light warmup to
a real workout for them. Dropping water weight would not help your
problem and would be unhealthy, you should stay well hydrated. Fat and
water are two different things, the fat is covering your abs. Good
luck on your training.
