Doctor has told me to lose weight. I had a treadmill that DH got
about 12 years ago (ProForm). He only gave $400 for it (new).
We got a lub kit and got it to working, but the first time I
tried to increase walking from 40 min. to an hour, the thing
stopped on me at 55 min. and started smelling as if rubber or
something might be burning. This happened just a little while
ago, and I think it's probably shot.

Anyway, I think I need a better one. I want one that's sturdy
and can hold up for at least 1 or 1-1/2 hours at a time. I don't
need fancy stuff, but I do want a sturdy one that doesn't require
you walk at an incline. I would like the mileage counter and a
timer. Calorie counter would be nice, but it's not necessary. I
don't think I really need any other gadgets.

I expect to pay at least two or three times more than what DH
paid for this old thing 12 years ago. Any recommendations would
be very much appreciated.

I'm in the U.S. (KY), if that matters.

Thanks!

Karen C.

Why don't you try a elliptical trainer?
Its always better than a treadmill.
