Not from me. If I was spending $, I'd go for, yes, a power rack and an
Olympic set. Maybe a nice dip bar/chin unit. And, of course, more
solid dumbbells.

Best of luck with your decision, though. What's your current leaning?

Cant do that. Am moving to VERY small apartment. No
space

The Bowflex ones I guess. And use an exercise bal as
a bench

I have the Nautilus Selectech. I prefered them to the powerblocks because
the latter can force your wrist into a certain posture. The Nautilus bells
are more open. They are also very easy to change weights with. Pricey but
worth it if space is a consideration. Liked the previous answer that didn't
address your question at all, lol. Yeah, power rack and dip/chin units are
the building blocks, but dumbbells finish the job and help with stabilizing
exercises.

I've had the Nautilius for a year and no problems so far, except for the
plastic logo falling off the end. I crazyglued it back and it's stuck there
so far. Other con to the Selecttech is that you have to be ginger with them.
Don't throw them around or god knows how that affects the locking keys that
keep the weights in place. Finally, I think the Nautilus just look a lot
better.

Thanks!

Now THAT is info I can really use!!

I am pretty sure I will go for the Selectech

Space is a premium with me

My idea is buy the Selectech and use a inflatable
exercise ball as a "bench".

The Swissball bench set up? I've seen guys at the gym do that with 100lbs+
and it freaks me out. What are the odds that the ball bursts? Probably very
small probability, but a life-changing consequence if it ever did. My take:
why take the chance at all? when flat bench reduces that probability to
zero!

The good Swiss balls are rated for 1000 pounds. I doubt you used
dumbbells that big.

Many people travel a lot....such as college student
from home to school and back.

Others move a lot

Sometime shaving nice compact stuff is very good
thing...as in examples above
