I'm considering using one of the products like Lean System 7. I'm currently
12 - 14% BF and simply looking to lean out.
Do they work? If so, any you would recommend? Waste of money? Better done
through diet and save my money? Opinions please.

Yerba mate and guarana: Basically caffeine. You'd be better off
taking some caffeine tabs.
Citrus aurantium or bitter orange: Contains synephrine alkaloids
(SAs). "Overall, studies that examined weight loss reported a loss of
2.4–3.4 kg among participants using SAs, while placebo groups lost
0.94–2.05 kg."[1] However, the preparations involved in those studies
also contained other stuff known to increase metabolism and decrease
appetite, like ephedrine and caffeine. In my experience, citrus
aurantium does help to decrease appetite briefly, but the effect is
marginal and not long-lasting. In addition, most citrus aurantium
preparations suggest a dosage of 80-120mg of SAs per day; that would
required about 15 of these pills.
Dandelion: It's a diruetic. It will make you lose weight by peeing
more and dehydrating you.
7-keto DHEA: The increase in thyroid hormone caused by ingestion of
7-keto DHEA drops back to baseline after a short period of time.[2]
That's supposed to be the primary action of this stuff, so any fat
loss benefit from hyperthyroidism won't last long.
Just keep repeating, Larry: "There is no magic bullet ... there is no
magic bullet ... there is no magic bullet ..."

Figured so, but I'm always open to anything that works. I'll just stay with

Uhh, Larry, I will sell you some magic bullets.
These are authentic magic bullets which were only slightly used by an old
Cherokee medicine man. I only have a few available for sale. So I will have
to get top dollar for them.
E-mail me if interested. >> Stay informed about: Opinions on fat loss accelerators? |

Ephedrine and caff from CVS or the net.

Northing "natural" to date has been found to be as effective as EC,
which is cheap and effective. Things like green tea extracts, yohimbine,
7 keto DHEA, etc may help also.

Just do the ol' ECA stack. It may be tough to get the E in Portland. I can
get ephedrine here in Utah. Email me if you want some. >> Stay informed about: Opinions on fat loss accelerators? |

I dunno about 7-keto DHEA. The only study I saw with a positive
effect (the one cited by all the supplement sellers), is an abstract
on JEPonline regarding some clinical trials with rather lackluster
results: with exercise, the 7-keto group lost 1.44kg over four weeks,
as opposed to 0.49kg in the placebo group. Two pounds more over four
weeks? Plus they used 200mg per day. At the cheapest price I've seen
(with shipping), that's a good $25.00 for two extra pounds over four
weeks. And as I noted before, it appears there may be leveling off of
the hyperthyroidic effect over time. >> Stay informed about: Opinions on fat loss accelerators? |

I have tried a lot of "fat burners" from my experience (I lost more
than 70lbs). I can tell you that most of those products are just
marketing hype.
Some of them may be efficient and but when my personal training clients
asked me about "fat burners" I tell them that before you buy anything
to take a look at Will Brink's Diet Supplements Revealed .
Actually right now, They are giving away free extracts from the e-book
so you can see inside at exactly what products is being reviewed. He'll
tell you what really works and what is just *marketing hype*
Just go here
http://snipurl.com/nwtc
They will send you the extract's immediately.

BTW, version 3 will be out shortly with another 40 or so compounds
reviewed.
