Dammit! There's a Canadian here?

As I was reading through this I was composing the post in which I
state I should win as I'm from the Midwest United States and how
'nice' is the one thing we've got going for us.

I'd almost worked out how I should be picked over John Williams --
we're both Ohioans -- when I came to the Canadian.

I can't compete. None of us can.

Some of the Brits might come close, after Midwesterners, but they can
go either way. They're either all proper, distinguished and helpful
(Mr. French from Family Affair, Jeeves from Ask Jeeves, Jean Luc
Picard) or they're kicking-your-ass whack jobs (Vinnie Jones, those
cops from Life on Mars, Doug and Dinsdale Piranha). There seems to be
no middle ground and you may not know what you're getting until its
too late.

So, it would have to be Canadians, Midwesterners, some Brits (well, I
guess all of them ... you don't want to piss off the whack jobs) then
the rest of the world.

Or:
1.Hobbes,
2.Wells/Williams,
3.Bully, Charles, etc.
4.Everybody else

Of course, if it happens that Hobbes is French Canadian, we all move
up one.

(I know, I know. Self-nomination might suggest a certain lack of
*niceness.* However, Midwesterners are so FULL of niceness that we
have a fair amount to spare. Almost as much as the Canadians.)

Being an English nomination it is absolutely necessary to further
divide the "Brit" selection to:

Upper middle class (Posh) - Charles
Working class (Oik) - Bully

While it is perfectly acceptable to nominate both, we do like to
separate out the Wardroom from the Lower Deck! ;o)

HTH! ;o)

Have a great weekend - I am! ;o)

A Special Canadian class? Does that mean he takes a short bus to get there?
