Don't go overboard Om, Cohen's been a tad curmudgeonly of late and
needs to redeem his former entertainment quotient, with a few of his
more typical offerings! ;o)

I'd noted he's been about as quiescent as I have.
But remember, he and I share a similar job field.
I cannot help but have some empathy.

Work has been hell lately. The winter months are our busiest time of
year and for some odd reason, deaths seriously increase over the
holidays. It gets to be a bit depressing at times.

Please forgive me but I'll take my laughs where I can find them.

I've found from speaking with others in the field that when "business"
increases at one hospital, it increases over the entire geographical
area. We are even experiencing a critical blood donor shortage.

(Seriously folks, if you have the time and inclination, PLEASE go to
your local blood bank and donate!!! All of us will thank you for it!)

Cheers mate!

Actually, i was being rhetorical.

Is it so damn difficult to say "YOU are the nicest person, Pete!"

You do this on purpose, dont you?

He is forever gleefully rubbing my nose in the happy knowledge that he
gets four day weekends every week. While I respect what he does, I
reserve the right to have the same "empathy" with him as he has for my
mere two day weekends.

Go for it Om; there's plenty to laugh at here.

I'm a regular donor, but we don't get paid or get any free beer over
here. A cup of tea and a 'biccy' and that's it!

We get punch and cookies generally, but free t-shirts sometimes when the
supplies get really short.

You wouldn't do that. You're too nice.

Actually, I would have nominated you, but you should be required to
compete in a special Canadian class.

Aww, shucks. You say the nicest things, but, no, YOU'RE NOT THE NICEST,
PETE!

(There's that whole anti-cattle ball sentiment you cultivate. Is foment
still a word? Anyway, for SHAME!)

I agree.

Om is typically the peacemaker, the fair-and-square equalness advocate,
the diplomat, extraordinaire.

(Plus I got free muscle magazines from him. Hey, biased? Perhaps.)

Tom Anderson gets the Silver medal in my book, fwiw.
