HI,

New at this... I'm 31 Y old, 5.9" @ 185 lbs. Need to build some muscles
everywhere Smile so I've been doing the regular split workout 3-4 times a
week. I recently read about full body workout using 5x5 pyramid method
and I wonder if anyone had try this and his/her opinion is.

5x5 workout example

......" Monday is high volume-low intensity day, Wed. is low volume-high
intensity,
and Friday is medium volume/intensity day. Now, "
Monday
Squat 5 x 10
Deadlift or high pull 5 x 5
Bench press 5 x 5
Pullups 3 x 10-12
Standing calf raise (single leg) 2 x 10-12
Ab work 2 x 10-12
Good mornings 2 x 10-12

Wednesday
Squat 5 x 3
Hang snatch 5 x 5
Military press 5 x 5
Grip work of choice 2 x 20-30 seconds
Ab work 2 x 10-12
Good mornings 2 x 10-12

Friday

Squat 5 x 5
Hang clean 5 x 5
Incline bench press or weighted dips 5 x 5
Pullups 3 x 8-10
Bicep curls 2 x 10-12
Ab work 2 x 10-12
Good mornings 2 x 10-12

I appreciate any input.

Gracias,

For me personally, I enjoy splits. Always have. But then I'm at the gym
5-6 days per week. If I were only going 3, I'd be more open to a full body
routine.

I personally prefer split workouts because I workout 4/5 days a week. I
don't seem the harm in doing a full body workout. I just find that it
would take more time. I prefer to workout more often but in smaller
time intervals. Also, I do cardio everyday because I like to focus much
more on my legs than my arms. If you are really curious you ask your
doctor or if you go to a gym just ask one of the trainers. Many of the
ones I have asked for help are more than willing to help anyone who has
questions. ( They rather see you working out properly).
