Being from Chicago I can only hope your friend is correct. However, I
tend to agree with you. He is not looking good in the preseason.

of generally low IQ, have a
low suicide rate.

Vick has been one of the most over-rated players in the NFL since he
arrived. His awesome running skills didn't mean as much considering
his sub-par passing ability.

I agree. And his contracts are gone. No one wants to be associated with a
dog killer. I think that Blank should have insured that contract, the way
studios do with movie stars. If you can't behave, you can't get insurance.

Vick hasn't been sentenced yet. The plea agreement, according to an
anonymous source, is for 18 months max, iirc. However I also read that
the judge is not held to that time limit. What's the purpose of a plea

No doubt that dogfighting is a poor choice for a hobby, however I am
curious about the outrage over animal deaths. You can buy horse meat
from a butcher in France. Monkey meat on the street in the
Philippines. People hunt deer with bow and arrow and assorted firearms
in the U.S. And we're paying soldiers to kill Iraqis and Afghanis
(they're human beings, btw) in ways some would describe as not
dissimiliar to dogfighting. I don't get it. Slap Vick on the hand and
say, bad QB, bad.
