I am looking for good walking shoes. My wife and I are going on a
2-week vacation to Europe this fall with 3 other couples. We will be
doing a lot of walking. I don't generally do well with a lot of
walking. I'm 6'3", 225 lbs, and 60 years old. My feet and knees get
tired from walking and standing.
I was in a Nordstrom's store yesterday so I thought I would see what
they had in stock. The clerk recommended Mephisto. I tried on a pair
and they felt pretty comfortable. They also had nice styling. They
were also $300.
Can anyone say how Mephisto compares to, say, New Balance?
Thanks

I pay closer to $60.00 for mine as I buy last years models. At $300.00 I'd
want to talk with others who had used them.
Walk a few hundred miles in them and see how they hold up. >> Stay informed about: Mephisto walking shoes |

Me, too. So, has anyone had any experience with Mephisto?

Sounds like an awful lot to pay. I bought a pair of ECCos from
Zappo.com for about $90 and I love them. (You might check if they have
Mephistos also) Feel much better than the New Balance I was using and
my lifelong shin splints disappeared.
