Do you think there's anyone on the planet benching over 600 who's not
on some performance enhancing drug?

Its possible if you have more than avarage test-levels, a huge ribcage and
short arms.

Hmmm.

(Googles)

http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/13.01/ironmen.html aka http://tinyurl.com/69jye

Interesting.

"Dan Rupert crouches inside a 180-pound frame of chrome-myolybdenum
steel alloy like a man wearing the bones of a robot gorilla. Metal
bars cantilever over his shoulders and down along his arms,
terminating in menacing, knuckle-dragging hooks. At his feet, an
industrial screw drive - a machine for turning torque into up-and-down
force - hums quietly. Rupert, a high school engineering teacher from
San Diego, isn't trying to look like a supervillain. He is trying to
lift a 650-pound barbell in front of a crowd of several hundred
people."

But, if you follow the link, apparently not at all practical. Surprised(

Too true. I benched 405 with no drugs at age 45 - 220 lbs. Touch and go
- but I did 385 in competition with no shirt. At best I'm average in the
bench. I think there are many guys benching 600 with no drugs. In my
province I'm sure Dan Suberlak has never used drugs and benches 600.
OTOH - he weighs 400.

There are at least three in Wisconsin alone. I know another in
Chicago (Lance Karabel) and I even caught his missed 650 or 660 at the
Hudson Natural Open last October. He ended up settling for a 630 that
day (to go along with his 905 pound squat).

Yeah, but I'd still have to say they do it without a shirt to be legit
in my book.

OTOH - I'm pretty sure James Henderson did his 720 drug free.

Better yet, as a Canajun, he's talking *kilograms*, not pounds.
