Awl--
Anyone ever get this? Seems like back pain, but I think it's different.
Used to get it riding motorcycles.
If one is prone to this, any hints on how to avoid it?
This was not from lifting per se, but from out-of-position manual labor, on
my (padded) knees in a cramped attic, loading and unpacking about 75
twenty-lb boxes, for about 4 miserable hours.
I expected to be a little sore, but not *this*.
This was Mon nite, and ahm dyin over here....
It's possible it could still be muscular back pain, but it's not the typical
doms/strain/fatigue stuff. And not spinal.
Lifting (c&j mostly), calisthenics, running, inversion, back rolls don't
cause this.

You need to check for stones. I was having back pain last year and I had two
stones. I know for sure one passed and maybe the other was to small to feel.
Get one of those sound things.
