Archived from groups: misc>fitness>weights (more info?)

Hello,

For the last 8 years, I have based my 70 or so weight exercises on
his book.

Question: What book is the best compliment to Bill Pearl's book in
the area of offering more exercises. The more exercises there are the
better. I wouldn't want to purchase another book with identical
exercises that Bill has already described. But, I like his book so much
that someone must know of another book that adds onto what Bill has
already done!

Thank you,
Christopher Lusardi

http://www.crossfit.com uses a wide variety of exercises and has short
demonstration videos on their web site.

http://www.exrx.net also has a large listing including short demo's.

Oh, I'm looking for a supplemental book!

The intent of the post was I thought someone else may have created a
book which adds to things presented in the book. The videos you
presented cover things already gone over in the book. For example
squats.

The author does have a web site (see below), but I saw nothing there of
use to me.

http://www.billpearl.com/

Thanks anyway,
Christopher Lusardi

Did you happen to look under his websites books section?
Clarence Bass is featured there in a series of books, have a look.
A few other suggestions of good books:
The New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding by Arnold Schwarzenegger
http://tinyurl.com/gnt6k
Strength Training Anatomy by Frederic Delavier http://tinyurl.com/jj8gw

And one on my want list:
The New Rules of Lifting by Lou Schuler/Alwyn Cosgrove
http://tinyurl.com/eelpk

The titles of these aren't dedicated to exercises.

I just ordered it at gettextbooks.com

Why should I buy this?

I also ordered it.

I have ordered the book "Keys to the INNER Universe" by Bill Pearl
because it, specifically, is what I need. I was getting tired of my
standard exercise routine etc and this book will add some zest! So, I
ordered a paper-back copy directly from Bill. The book has over 500
pages of weight lifting exercises 2/3 (mostly 3) per page plus a lot
more information. The below link has a sampling of the exercises along
with the order form:

Thanks Rick,

I have received this book, but, I have to sit down and really really
read it closely. This is because I glanced through it and it appears to
be information I already have!

Thanks,
Christopher Lusardi

P.S.: I do splits four days a week, so, I'm thinking, Peal's first book
may help categorize the exercises into the proper lifting day.
