Hi Guys,

Summer is coming up (where I am at least Smile and I'm looking to cut down
on my body fat. I'm currently sitting around 13% hoping to get down to
around 9%. I'm currently working out 3-4 times a week, doing mostly
heavy compound movements. Currently doing no cardio.

My diet is reasonably good, but still eating junk every now and then
(maybe a burger or chocolate bar a day).

I have NO experience in fat loss, and while I have read about only
eating tuna every meal, I want to keep myself reasonable happy Smile

So if you guys could offer me a little advice, I would greatly
appreciate it

Thanks

And where is that? New Zealand? Do they have Wal-Marts there?

Regardless, you may want to take a peek "here":

Check out the products list. IGNORE the newsletter sign-up requests.

No cardio? You and The Abs Diet will get along just fine.

Ditch the chocolate and switch to turkey burgers?

Hey NZ,

Like Curt said, you sound like you're on the right track. What do your
workouts look like? Compound heavy movements are on the right track.
Doing a strength endurance type workout is a good way to cut fat.
Mid-range repetition, 12-25 reps, on big compound movements, such as
clean and presses, snatching (weight from ground to overhead), or
anything where you are lifting a weight over a long line of motion and
using your biggest muscles. You can combine these exercises with a
little cardio in between to bring down your heart rate between sets,
but still keep it slightly elevated. Things like light rope jumping,
jogging, light jumping jacks, etc.

You hit the nail on the head with "I want to keep myself reasonable
happy". Anything you do diet-wise has to be sustainable. So something
sensible will win out over something radical because you'll be able to
maintain the sensible diet as a lifestyle choice as opposed to quitting
a radical diet after a couple of weeks.

Good luck!!

John
