Hi, I'm new to all this stuff and would appreciate some advice:

is this product:
http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeI...0001&la
worth the money or is it a total scam?

Wouldn't those be good for buring calories while doing nothing and
keeping the blood flowing while doing nothing? But maybe it isn't even
healthy for those to be used for hours on end on a daily basis in the
first place. I think it may be a good idea if you are an office worker
like I am to wear those hidden on your thighs and run it if you get
antsy to do something.

These devices were designed for physical therapists and the like to use in
rehabilitation programs for patients. For that use, they work.

For the uses listed on that website, they are a scam.

No.

Believe it or not, blood continues to flow, even when you're asleep. Really.
It does.

You can think whatever you please. I don't mind.

What about that defibrillator that I use to jump start my heart before
getting out of bed? Was that just a waste of money?

Only your "friends" and family consider it a waste, Brandon Smile

You can now buy an automatic difibrillator without prescription for about
$1700. Might make my first aid kit a bit expensive.

They work to maintain minimal muscle tone in people who can't move;
e.g. someone with a leg in a cast or paralyzed from a spinal cord
injury. But the effect is swamped by the movement of the muscles in
anyone with normal body movement.

Someday it will be possible to be "fit" without effort and time, but
that day is not yet here.

Didn't Bruce Lee use some type of electrical muscle stimulation in his
training?
