It was funny. Today was deadlift day and I was feeling good. I usually
pyramid up my lifts. Going from 10-12 reps to 1 or two. Now these
weights are nothing special in general but they are to me. I weigh about
85KG. After sets/reps at lower weights I did a set of 5 at 130 KG. It
was easy. So I put 145 KG on the bar which was my personal best.
I couldn't even move it an inch off the floor. I mean if I fail I can at
least get it half way up. But this time I knew almost instantly that
there was no point in even trying. Weird.
Anyhow I dropped some weight of the bar and did a few set of Sumo stance
which was good then some high pulls. It was just the first time I
couldn't even move the bar, it may as well had 500 kg on it.
Oh well, another day.

Some people will tell you that a good deadlifter will always fail

I used to pyramid deadlifts but after the lighter sets I was always too
knackered to get some good heavy ones in. Upped my starting weight
significantly and my max went up, not quite as significantly. >> Stay informed about: Deadlift failure |

Have a new Organization purchase your hospital like they did ours, then
get back to me.
Christus Santa Rosa purchased McKenna Memorial.

I keep my change in a red plastic piggy-bank shaped like the letter
"C" - they give them out for free at the local Commerce Bank. When it
gets full, I take it there and use their change-counting machine - you
put in your change, it gives you a receipt which you then give to the
teller and get paper money (mostly) back. We have 2 of these - my
11-year-old uses the other one.
I hate carrying change.

This is why David never plays the slots.
Speaking of David...
he was working the E.R. one day when a child was brought in with a stomach ache.
X-rays revealed he had swallowed a bunch of quarters.
So, the plan was they would admit the kid long enough for him to pass the quarters through via his
stool(s).
About 6 hours into the process, the parents ask David how the kid was.
David just said, "No change yet." >> Stay informed about: Deadlift failure |

Around here, private hospitals usually just close outright, as the care costs for indigents and
illegals who stream in though the emergency room make them permanent money-losers. >> Stay informed about: Deadlift failure |

It's possible you've just moved your sticking point. My sticking point
has basically always been right off the ground. If I can move the
weight at all, I can lock it out. Some people lift from small platform
for just that reason.

But that wasn't the end of the story.
